A mom. That is who and what I am. Pregnancy, birth, babies and children in general have become the focus of my entire life. I believe every mother and child have the right to a peaceful, positive birth. I believe every mother deserves to have the support and information necessary to have a successful breatfeeding relationship with her child. I believe every infant has the right to receive the best nutrition possible. I believe no baby should ever be cosmetically altered. I believe no child should be injected with neurotoxins. I believe children should be seen as equals, not possessions. I believe we need to teach children how to control themselves, not control them.

Thus, I am being the change I wish to see in the world. I am providing families with information, with encouragement and with compassion. Answering question after question about circumcision, breastfeeding, cloth diapering and more, in the hopes of spreading a wave of strength and sanity that can change the type of physical, emotional and mental environment the next generation, and those that come after, will grow up and live in.

I am a young mom. I am divorced from my daughter’s father, and engaged to an amazingly wonderful foreigner. I have traveled to many countries. I have lived overseas. I have read many books, and more online articles and medical journal reports than I could ever come close to counting. I am an activist.

This is my E.D., born December 2009. She is an incredible, unique little being. She is very intense, yet intellectually brilliant. She’s too smart for my own good 😉 She is 100% non-vaccinated. We see the doctor only when she is sick (which is a rare occurrence indeed). She was born peacefully in water at Baby Love Birth Center in Cape Coral, Florida, with the help of my midwife Samantha McCormick. She has an Atrial Septal Defect (a hole in her heart). She is beginning to show signs of Sensory Processing Disorder, which is an Autism Spectrum Disorder. We can’t seem to escape the letters ASD. She knows about 50 words in American Sign Language, thanks to the Signing Time series and lots of consistency. Her best friend is her kitty cat, Majha. She loves to play with balls. She is a giant- 35″ tall at 18 months old. She rides rear-facing in a Radian XTSL convertible car seat. She rides mamas back in a Boba carrier. She runs around non-stop in CC Bums cloth diapers 🙂
